The tour starts at 9 in the morning. Thamel is the starting point, and the means of transportation is car. From Thamel, you will be headed to ChanguNarayan.
Changunarayan is located on a high hilltop that is also known as Changu and Dolagiri. Surrounded by forest with champak tree and a small village, known as Changu Village, changu Narayan is located in ChanguNarayan VDC of Bhaktapur VDC. This hill is about 8 miles east of Kathmandu and a few miles north of Bhaktapur. Considered to be oldest temple in Nepal, it is an excellent symbol of art, religion and mythological values.
After a walk from ChanguNarayan, you will head towards Nagarkot, also known as View point. It is the most important hill station in the eastern side of Kathmandu, located just 32 kilometres away from Kathmandu, with an altitude of 2170m. The maximum time to reach there by foot is 3-4 hours from ChanguNarayan, which will definitely be a memorable walk, in which you will get to know the lifestyle of the people there, the nature on the way, the fields where rice, paddies and potatoes are harvested and then comes the most important aspect of Nagarkot;the sunset.
The sunset of Nagarkot is an epitome of natural beauty, which looks miraculous and fill your hearts with joys and memories of the tour.
On a clear day, the views of enormous Himalayan range, including the Mount Everest are stunning. If you have a spare day in Kathmandu, Nagarkot is a place to visit if you want to have this spectacular experience.
