Kanchenjunga Expedition

Kanchanjunga is the third tallest peak of the world at a soaring height of 8,586 m. Kanchanjunga is not just one peak but it is a range spreading its wings to Nepal at the west and the Indian state of Sikkim to the east. Situated at the eastern district of Nepal was believed to be the worlds highest peak of the world until discovery of Everest. Alike all mountains in Nepal Kanchanjunga also carries a huge religious value and worshipped by the inhabitants residing in the surroundings of the mountains.

Kanchanjunga range over all consists of 17 mountains above 7,000m which is an amazing fact in itself. The range’s five highest mountains consists of Kanchanjunga main (8,586m), Kanchanjunga west (8,505), Kanchanjunga central (8,482), Kanchanjunga south (8,494), Kangbachen (7,903) all majestic peaks situated a little south of the great Himalayan range is also famous for its radiating glaciers contributing into rivers. The main ridge of the massif runs from north-north-east to south-south-west and forms a watershed to several rivers.

The expedition is a pretty long expedition as Kanchanjunga is a widest spread mountain range. The expedition includes straight paths, some stiff escalation, some steep bends and descend, some ridges impossible to cross without the support of mountaineering tools. As the peaks ascends and descends the trek needs enormous concentration, will, practice and physical fitness. The results or the output of the expedition would surely put smile on every faces as it’s like a milestone achieved in any regards in a life. The thought of how many people in the world has crossed an elevation of 5,000m is a proud moment in itself. The expedition offers days of walk with majestic vista of the great Himalayan range at the back set and Kanchanjunga at the front, it offers every kind of feelings a human can have, the culture in Nepal you can experience the wilderness and many others which words cannot describe. If you wish to witness a complete world in wilderness this trek surely is designed by Mother Nature for you.
