The main peak ascending up to the height of 6,856 meters, Amadablam is a mountain range residing east of the Mount Everest range. Amadablam meaning “Mother’s necklace” in local people’s language holds its own cultural and religious beliefs. Dominating the eastern sky of Mount Everest, Amadablam is the third most Himalayan range and peak preferred by explorers and permitted by the government of Nepal.
The best view of the mountain Amadablam is believed to be witnessed from Tengboche. It is a fact but very strange that with elevation less than 7,000m, it is amongst the top 3 peaks desired by explorers. The fatal attraction to this mountain is believed to do something with its distinctive shape which clearly is visible to trekkers at any trail throughout the Everest region from any point Imja Khola at 4,360m onwards. Ama Dablam forms a lasting impression on many trekkers in Nepal, as it is perhaps the most stunning mountain and undisputed heavy weight champion along the popular trekking route to Everest Base Camp.
The expedition is an upper intermediate level expedition which requires some level of physical fitness and an experienced guide which Silvermountain adventure is best known for. The reason it being technically challenged is also its reason being the most wanted trek of the region. Amadablam not only is famous for its trek in Nepal now but also for its use as branding logo of Invesco Group of company, for being in the list of “Matterhorn of the Himalaya’s”, as a part of Nick Harpers song and not other than Apple including the picture taken by Nick Meek of Amadablam as a wallpaper in iOS 7.
Over all Amadblam expedition is a great experience with added essence of teahouse lodges, home stays, camping, cultural and religious exploration furthermore its flora and fauna.
